IT expertise since 2002. Incorporated 2016. A new mission: AI that genuinely improves everyday life.
"Use AI where it is actually needed —— The Cloudrarc Principle
not just where it is trending."
Cloudrarc Limited was not born in a startup incubator. Our roots go back to 2002, when our founders began hands-on work designing, migrating, and managing critical IT infrastructure for some of the UK's most demanding organisations — banks, financial institutions, and building societies where downtime is simply not an option.
In 2016, Cloudrarc Limited was formally incorporated to channel that accumulated expertise into a focused consultancy — delivering cloud strategy, infrastructure architecture, and containerisation services to enterprise clients.
That background gave us a deep respect for reliability, security, and doing things properly. When we say an app is privacy-safe or production-ready, we mean it in the engineering sense — not the marketing sense.
Today, we are channelling that same rigour into a new challenge: building AI-powered consumer apps that solve real, everyday problems for ordinary people. Not AI for the sake of it — AI where it actually makes a difference.
Our founders begin hands-on infrastructure and IT work — on-premise server design, network architecture, and enterprise systems integration for financial institutions and building societies across the UK.
After over a decade of consulting experience, Cloudrarc Limited is formally registered in England and Wales — channelling deep infrastructure expertise into a focused consultancy for enterprise clients in regulated industries.
As the industry shifts to cloud, Cloudrarc specialises in AWS and Microsoft Azure migrations, cloud-native architecture, and hybrid on-prem / cloud deployments for regulated financial environments including banks and building societies.
A specialism in containerisation is developed — helping organisations adopt Docker, Kubernetes, and managed container platforms (EKS, AKS, GKE) for workload migration across any cloud or on-premise infrastructure.
Recognising that software should work across every device a person owns, Cloudrarc invests in building intelligent cross-platform apps for iPhone, iPad, Android, and Mac Desktop — applying 20+ years of engineering discipline to consumer-grade products.
Our consulting background spans the full infrastructure stack — from bare-metal server rooms to multi-cloud Kubernetes clusters — serving clients in regulated industries.
Infrastructure design and cloud strategy for banks, lending institutions, and building societies with strict regulatory and uptime requirements.
End-to-end cloud migrations, architecture reviews, cost optimisation, and managed service design on Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.
Data centre builds, server virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V), storage area networks, and enterprise network architecture for organisations not yet ready to move fully to cloud.
Container strategy, Kubernetes deployment and operations, CI/CD pipeline design, and workload migration across EKS, AKS, GKE, and on-premise clusters.
Lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and re-architecture migrations — including legacy workloads from mainframes and ageing on-premise systems to modern cloud-native environments.
Infrastructure hardening, identity and access management, network segmentation, and compliance-aligned architecture for FCA-regulated and other high-security environments.
The same AI capabilities that were once exclusive to enterprise data science teams are now available on a device that fits in your pocket. Cloudrarc sees this as a generational opportunity to build tools that improve the daily lives of ordinary people.
We are investing heavily in cross-platform consumer app development — building apps that work seamlessly across iPhone, iPad, Android, and Mac Desktop. Our goal is platform-agnostic software: one coherent experience regardless of what device you pick up. More details to be announced at launch.
Our engineering discipline comes from building systems that cannot fail. That mindset carries directly into consumer software: fast, reliable, private, and genuinely useful.
Every AI feature we ship must solve a clear problem measurably better than a non-AI alternative. We reject AI theatre.
Enterprise quality, consumer simplicity. Our apps are built for people who are not technical — and rigorously engineered for those who are.
On-device processing wherever possible. Cloud only when necessary, minimal, and fully disclosed. Our infrastructure background means we take data architecture seriously.
The same principles that guided our consulting work guide our product development.
We use machine learning where it provides a genuine, measurable benefit. If a deterministic algorithm does the job better, we use that. No AI washing.
Our infrastructure background means we think about reliability, edge cases, and failure modes before we think about features.
Paid tiers unlock real capabilities. We do not hide core features behind paywalls or engineer artificial friction to drive upgrades.
We release when software is ready. Our changelog reflects meaningful improvements — we do not ship version bumps for their own sake.
Our privacy policy is written in plain English. We explain exactly what data we collect, why, and who sees it. No surprises.
The best product ideas come from users. We listen, respond, and build features that solve real problems — not features that look good in press releases.
